McWhorter, Cobb and Johnson is one of West Texas’ oldest and most reputable law firms. It traces its origin to 1929 when Jess C. Levens, Owen W. McWhorter, Sr. and L.A. Howard merged their law practices into a partnership to serve Lubbock, a young but growing city. Charles Cobb, another prominent name in the Firm’s history, became a partner in 1938. The Firm has been known by its current name since 1968.
